The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum: Build A Resilient Organization
Frontline staff are the foundation of an organization, making prioritizing staff health and well-being essential. This includes preventing psychological stress injuries, which is crucial. We recognize that every team member offers valuable knowledge and skills shaped by their training and lived experiences. For frontline staff, these experiences are not just personal; they are a collective asset that can be transformed into a regenerative resource for individuals, teams, and the department.
This workshop offers strategic knowledge and practical micro-practices for stress management that can be used before, during, and after stressful incidents to support overall wellness. By incorporating essential information on burnout prevention and mind-body exercises into daily routines, participants will develop actionable tools to boost resilience and effectively manage everyday stress at work and in life. Research shows that these strategies have a meaningful impact on the well-being of individuals, teams, and families.
At the end of the program, participants will be better able to:
Explain the value of lived experience as a resilience strategy among frontline team members.
Explain types of psychological stress injury and why recognizing early warning signs is key to early intervention.
Implement strategic drills and skills before, during, and after incidents to promote overall wellness.
Analyze stress-management responses to raise awareness and improve resilience.
Assess mutual support networks in building individual & team resiliency in times of crisis, challenge, and peace.
